Course Descriptions:
45-Mile Ride - Course has been marked with orange paint
Starting at Meadowview, go out Reservoir Road. Turn right onto Lone Star Road.
At Lone Star/Old Blair's Gap road, stay straight. The 18 mile course (see below) will turn left here.
Up until this point the 18 and 45 mile riders will be together.
At Lone Star/Blairs Gap/Beech Creek intersection, turn left onto Beech Creek. Also state highway 347.
At some point, Beech Creek might change names to Grassy Branch.
At Grassy Branch/Goshen Valley, turn right on Goshen Valley Road. Warning, there is no street sign
for Goshen Valley. Highway 347 continues straight, or slightly left.
Turn right on Mountain View Road. Follow Mountain View road up the mountain. Bear left on Mtn View at Mtn View School Rd.
Top of mountain at Fairview Holiness Chapel Church. At Mountain View/Bays Mtn Rd. intersection,
bear right on Mountain View. Start descent down mountain.
On the other side it becomes Blairs Gap road just pass Grassy Creek. At Blairs Gap/Lone Star Road, turn left on Lone Star Road.
At Lone Star Rd/Reservoir Rd, turn left on Reservoir.
Turn right on Glen Alpine Road. Turn left on Princeton Road. .
Turn left onto New Moore Road*** to the finish.
18-Mile Ride - Course has been marked with pink paint
Starting at Meadowview, go out Reservoir Road. Turn right onto Lone Star Road.
Turn left on Old Blair's Gap Road. Be careful on this turn because it is a blind turn to oncoming traffic!!!
Up until this point the 18 and 45 mile riders will be together. 45 mile course will stay straight here,
While 18 mile course will turn left. At the intersection of Old Blair's Gap and Gum Springs Road,
Turn left onto Old Blair's Gap. Gum Springs stays straight.
Turn left on Murrell Road.
Turn right onto Lone Star Road.
Turn left onto Potato Hill Road.
Turn right on Glen Alpine Road.
Turn left on Princeton Road.
Turn left onto New Moore Road*** to the finish.
Family Ride - Course has been marked with green paint
Look for a new course in 2011.
We have had a report of dogs on Goshen Valley near Grassy Creek Rd. Be careful!!
*** Note to all finishers: New Moore Road climbs up with the finish line at the crest of this small rise. Finishers should then follow this road to Meadowview Pkwy. and turn right at CVA and return to Meadowview for food and refreshments. For safety reasons, we ask that cyclists not turn back around and go back on the course or hang around the finish area very long. Thank you!!
